Musings of a Marfan Mom

Spreading Some Holiday Cheer for Boston Children’s Hospital

Hello everyone! I’m hoping you might be able to help a fellow Marf Mom with a service project. My friend Stephanie’s son Logan is a patient at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH). It’s the number one pediatric heart center in the US, and home to a great Marfan & related disorders clinic. If you haven’t read Stephanie’s guest post about how the team there saved Logan’s life, it’s a must read.

Stephanie is collecting gift cards (even partially used ones!) for BCH. While children recover in the hospital, social workers pass along gift cards to parents to make their stay a little easier. Stephanie told me about the importance of a $5 Starbucks card she was given one day, just the nudge she needed to take a few minutes for herself to recharge.

If you have some gift cards (any kind….restaurants, amazon, itunes, gasoline, etc.) you’re not using or you want to pick up one to donate, let me know and I’ll get you in contact with Stephanie. And if you’d rather donate directly, instead of sending to Stephanie, I can give you instructions on that too.

Thank you, and Happy Holidays! 🙂
