Musings of a Marfan Mom

Friday Favorites

Welcome to Friday Favorites! If you’re new to the blog, here’s how to play along. Every Friday I devote my post to showcasing awesome blog posts by other bloggers that I’ve read over the past week or two. I invite you to do the same and link up here, OR just link up directly to those posts you’ve loved this week. This is any easy way to share the love and find great new blogs.

This Sunday is Fathers’ Day and Amber‘s post why my husband deserves Father’s Day…illustrated with Crappy Pictures is sure to make you smile. It’s almost as though she was writing about *my* husband. :-)

Paula wrote the moving No More Counting Soap Bubbles – a Tribute to Edwina Stephens. Ms. Stephens, who died June 8th, was part of the Tallahassee Bus Boycott and spent time relaying the events to Paula’s daughter.

I like the clever name of Rachel’s blog: Welcome to StimCity. She wrote a post entitled Autism Is… about what autism means in her family. I can relate to a lot of it!. Her post was so popular that Rachel started a new section of her blog for readers to come and share what autism means for their family.

  1. Maya, thank you so much for featuring my “No More Counting Soap Bubbles” blog! It still amazes and saddens me that the events Mrs. Stephens described were such a relatively short time ago. But I guess on the optimistic side, people like her use those events and the pain they felt to educate children (and adults) to create a better, more equitable, more loving world.

  2. Thanks for sharing my newest post in the Crappy Pictures parenting posts!!!! Glad you liked it!
