Musings of a Marfan Mom

Friday Favorites

Welcome to Friday Favorites! If you’re new to the blog, here’s how to play along. Every Friday I devote my post to showcasing awesome blog posts by other bloggers that I’ve read over the past week or two. I invite you to do the same and link up here, OR just link up directly to those posts you’ve loved this week. This is any easy way to share the love and find great new blogs.

It’s been a little while since I’ve done Friday Favorites, but we’re back now!

First up is a post by Lauren who is known throughout the Twitterverse for her postpartum mood disorder advocacy. Her post Sticks and Stones will break my bones but Words… is a reminder to consider the words we use to describe depression.

Ellen from Love That Max is one of my favorite “special powers” bloggers. I find a lot of her posts speak to me, and 25 Things That Make Special Needs Parenting Easier was no exception. I’ve really been feeling #8 and #9 in particular recently!

Last but not least is my friend Kristi over at Live and Love…Out Loud!. Kristi is full of great ideas and recently started two monthly series on her blog: Women Who Empower and Small Business Spotlight. Last month she featured breastfeeding advocate Dagmar Bleasdale and Paperdoll Handmade Accessories. This month I am humbled to be featured. Also, if you do Wordless Wednesday on your blog, you should definitely link up at Kristi’s blog: she sometimes has mystery photos to guess! And somehow, in the midst of all of this, Kristi still has time to bake cake balls!

  3. Thank you so much for including me in your Friday Favorites post, Maya. And thank you for allowing me to feature you as a Woman Who Empowers over at my place this month. We may have initially bonded over leg-shaving, but I’ve gotta say that I’ve been amazed and in complete awe of you for a really long time. I meant what I said in my post. You are kind, intelligent and most definitely a force to be reckoned with. I’m so honored to call you “friend”. Have a great weekend! :)
